Freehold Cartage is a financially sound, well established, growth-oriented family run business still operated by the original founders. For more than 60 years our company has provided to various select customers transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. Most of our terminal managers and dispatchers were FCI company drivers who moved into those positions bringing a wealth of valuable knowledge and hands-on experience.
We operate four divisions:
- Tanker
- Van
- Roll off
- Local trash and recycling in NJ only
Our philosophy is to provide top quality service to all of our customers. To achieve our goal we operate only top of the line equipment maintained onsite by our highly experienced mechanics and employ the most qualified people throughout the company.

Driver Qualifications
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Must have CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
- Able to be DOT certified
- No more than 1 accident in last 3 years
- No more than 1 moving violation in last 3 years
- Experienced Road Drivers: Must have a minimum of 1-1/2 years verifiable over the road experience with a regulated carrier
- Trainees: To qualify as a Trainee, the applicant must have graduated from an accredited truck driving school, and possess a class A CDL

- Tanker Division: Mostly 6000 gallon s/s vacuum tanks
- Roll-Off Divison: Mostly tri-axle trailers
Compensation
Over-the-Road Driver
- Less than 2 years verifiable experience $.58/mile
- 2-4 years verifiable experience $.60/mile
- Top mileage rate $.65/mile
- $18.00 per hour, review annually. Top hourly pay $20 per hour.
- $25/stop plus hourly pay after two hours waiting
- Layover compensation (Breakdown)
- Layover compensation (Dispatch)
- $30.00 per Diem (24 hour period)
- Canada crossing loaded $100.00 per
- Safety /Performance bonus $.03/mile
- New Hire Sign-on Bonus
